Venture Far

Still one of my favourite designs, Venture was a travel startup. Venture Far had great branding and photography - that made for an elegant and engaging website.
My role
I led the UX strategy for the travel startup including designing lo-fidelity wireframes. I personally designed all of the User Interface including layouts icons, navigation, photography editing and interactive elements.
The brief
Create a travel website to travellers with an adventurous spirit - uniques experiences curated by a specialist travel agency.
Strategy
The strategy consisted of defining segments, mapping customer journeys, lo-fidelity wireframes, competitive analysis, keyword analysis and information architecture.
The information architecture was broken down into the following schema:
- Destinations - location based experiences and deals
- Experiences - curated and specialised on in a life time experiences
- Travel deals - seasonal specials
- Inspire me - a travel blog telling stories of the unique experiences
We also were required to cater for two additional personas / segments - Groups and Travel Agents.
Design
The content and photography supplied by the different experience vendors was simply amazing and the new Venture Far brand was modern & contemporary - mainly black and white.
This led to a design that was simply, minimilistic in design, letting the photography and content to bring the website to life.
